Insight Systems Corporation is an expanding contractor dedicated to providing IT solutions to government agencies in the fields of grants management, financial management, knowledge management, information security, custom applications development, IT infrastructure, and training. Responsibilities
The duties for this position may include, but are not limited to:
- Design, modify, develop, code, and implement software programming applications
- Code in a variety of software languages as needed such as Visual Basic, Cold Fusion, ASP, ASP.NET, C+, Dreamweaver, and Crystal Reports
- Code SQL for database access and data updates
- Code advanced SQL for Stored Procedures and Triggers
- Support and/or install software applications
- Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis
- Develop application reports
- Perform an active role in identifying application requirements and developing functional design specifications
- Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed
- Assume the role of task coordinator on simple tasks.
Required Education
The candidate for this position should hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Systems or a related field or have gained experience equivalent to this educational requirement.
Required Experience
In addition to the above educational requirements, the candidate for this position must also have:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in developing and maintaining software applications
- Advanced knowledge of commonly-used software development tools, concepts, practices, and procedures
- Experience developing complex SQL queries and reports.
